Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Andrew Lompar and United States Ambassador Sue Catherine Brown signed the Air Transport Agreement between the two countries.

- The signing of the Agreement is proof that Montenegro and the United States have a strong partnership. Today's signing makes Montenegro 105 countries with an open sky partnership with the US. The Civil Aviation Agency received a special New Year greeting card from Paris - the Executive Secretary of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) Salvatore Sakitano praised the efforts Dragan Djurovic, the director of the Agency, and his staff have invested in harmonizing the safety of air traffic in Montenegro with a key ECAC documents.

On November 14, 2011, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro Dragan Djurovic held a bilateral meeting with Matthias Reute, Director General for Transport and Transport (DG MOVE) in the European Commission.

The meeting was an opportunity for Mr. Djurovic to inform his interlocutor about the current situation in the field of civil aviation in Montenegro, as well as to present the activities of the Agency in the past period.

One of the topics discussed was the implementation of the 1st phase of the ECAA Agreement, which Montenegro is successfully finalizing, which will be the subject of a visit by the European Commission's experts, announced for the beginning of next year.
