Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Ivan Brajović visited the Civil Aviation Agency with his associates. He and the management team of the Agency, led by director Dragan Djurovic, discussed important topics from this department that should be actualized in the future. Minister Brajović was pleased to point out the good organizational conception, stressing that this resulted in excellent ratings of representatives of the ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference) during a recent visit. Such assessments by relevant international organizations in the field of air transport certainly confirm the seriousness of approach to this area.
Good organization and concept of the Agency's work are also examples in the region, and our staff, their expertise and competence are already competitive now in many countries. As previously reported, on the basis of 12 controls (audits) that have been carried out in Montenegro since 2008, it is estimated that our country is progressing year after year in terms of meeting the standards of security and safety in particular.
Minister Brajovic has given strong support to the implementation of the One Step Security project, whose successful completion in the part of air traffic will meet the requirements of the European Union. The meeting also discussed the plans for the next period, and the emphasis will be placed on permanent professional training and training of employees, which is one of the prerequisites for competent and professional performance of the Agency's activities. In order to strengthen regional cooperation, exchange of documentation, experiences and human resources in the past period, the Agency has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the aviation authorities: Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Italy , Hungary and France.
In the past period, through the line ministry, with the participation of representatives of the Agency in the work teams, the texts of the Air Transport Agreement with Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and the United States were initialed.
