Aviation Safety Division shall perform study and analytical, normative legal, administrative and oversight activities, related to: aviation activities, flight personnel, aircraft and aerodromes, as defined in the Law on Air Transport, existing international agreements, EU regulations and rules and standards applicable to safety and security of civil aviation. The Aviation Safety Division shall perform activities related to: establishment of qualifications for performing civil aviation activities; ensuring fulfilment of requirements for safe operations of aircraft and aeronautical devices, aerodromes and requirements to be fulfilled by the aeronautical personnel; establishment of aeronautical personnel training programmes; assessment of qualification criteria of aeronautical personnel training centres; assessment of aeronautical personnel professional qualifications; drafting individual acts from this area (licences, certificates, compliances, approvals, attestations, etc.); drafting aviation regulations in accordance with the Law on Air Transport, existing international agreements, EU regulations and rules and standards applicable to the civil aviation safety and security.
