By singing the Convention on the Bureau of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), Montenegro reaffirmed the status of the European aviation partner.
The Agency Director, Mr Ivan Scekic, signed the ECAC Convention in Bern on 28 August 2025, and Montenegro is one of the first signatory states.
Through this convention, Member States, including Montenegro, also confirm the obligation of participating the single European civil aviation system.
Once again, the Agency and Montenegro are confirmed to be recognised partners of the European and international organisations in aviation industry.
The convention objective is to, inter alia, emphasise international legal personality of the Bureau, ensure operational stability and openness, as well as more efficient application of standards among Member States.
Montenegro became full-fledged ECAC Member State in June 2008. ECAC was founded in 1955, today it is composed of 44 Member States and it represents key pan-European platform for coordination of aviation practices and development of regulatory framework
