In the period between 21 and 29 January 2019, an ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission with the assessment character was conducted. The Civil Aviation Agency was the subject of the assessment activities on behalf of the state and the majority of the assessment was conducted within its premises.
We hereby communicate the official publication from the ICAO website:
An ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) was conducted in Podgorica, Montenegro from 21 to 29 January 2019, under the ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme Continuous Monitoring Approach (USOAP CMA). USOAP audit activities, like ICVMs, focus on a State capability in providing safety oversight by assessing the implementation of ICAO safety-related Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), associated procedures and guidance material.
Six ICAO auditors, including 3 Regional Officers from the EUR/NAT Office participated in this mission to identify the progress made by Montenegro with regards to the safety deficiencies that were identified during the last USOAP audit in 2010. In addition to the primary aviation legislation and specific operating regulations (LEG) and the civil aviation organization (ORG), the scope of the ICVM included personnel licensing and training (PEL), aircraft operations (OPS), airworthiness of aircraft (AIR), aircraft accident and incident investigation (AIG), air navigation services (ANS) and aerodromes and ground aids (AGA).
Once validated, the results will be publicly available on the ICAO website.
