In the period between 6 July and 10 July, the European Aviation Safety Agency conducted the ATM/ANS standardisation inspection, for the purpose of inspecting compliance with appropriate regulatory EU requirements in Montenegro.
The standardisation inspection was conducted within the premises of the Civil Aviation Agency, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 628/2013 on working methods of the EASA, having in mind that the Agency is the National Supervisory Authority (NSA) in Montenegro. The EASA standardisation inspection team also visited operational units of SMATSA llc, located at Tivat and Podgorica airports, due to the fact that SMATSA llc is the provider of ANS services in the airspace of Montenegro.
In accordance with the Working Arrangement signed in Cologne on 25 February 2015 by the CAA and the EASA, the compliance with following Regulations has been inspected: Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1034/2011, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1035/2011, Commission Regulation (EU) No 805/2011, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 923/2012, Regulation (EC) No 549/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 390/2013, Regulation (EC) No 550/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Regulation (EC) No 482/2008, Commission Regulation (EU) No 255/2010, Regulation (EC) No 551/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Regulation (EC) No 2150/2005, Regulation (EC) No 552/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Regulation (EU) No 73/2010 and Directive 2003/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.
At the closing meeting, the EASA standardisation team stated that the high level of compliance with ATM/ANS regulations was achieved in Montenegro, having in mind that the standardisation inspection scope covered numerous European regulations in the field of ATM/ANS.
Pursuant to all of the above mentioned, it can be stated that this standardisation inspection was successfully concluded and the Agency still achieves high level of fulfilment of obligations regarding the implementation of European aviation regulations in Montenegro.
