Montenegro is dedicated to the European objectives and cooperation with the EUROCONTROL

Representatives of the European civil aviation authorities held a meeting in Brussels on 27 November 2025 and had discussions on challenges and priorities for development of the European air transport.

Numerous topics were discussed at the 64th Provisional Council (PC) of EUROCONTROL. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Mr. Ivan Scekic, which stands as a message that Montenegro remains completely committed to implementation of common European objectives and active participation with the EUROCONTROL.

PC/64 was addressing, among other things, the report of the Director General and review of strategic priorities, the new “Trajectory 2030” strategy that is a long-term plan of development of the European airspace, budget and preparations for the summer season 2026.

“The “Trajectory 2030” strategy clearly defines courses of modernization – from digital transformation and innovations, to improvement of coordination and safety in entire network, while support to more efficient capacity management and better integration of smaller airspaces into the European system is of particular importance for Montenegro”, Scekic said after the meeting, that was also attended by the Deputy Director for Air Navigation Safety and Airports , Mr. Ilija Andjelic.

Likewise, plans of digitalization and innovations in the European network and continuation of support to Ukraine were taken into consideration in Brussels, and also decisions were made on management matters, including selection of the President and three vice-presidents of the Provisional Council.
