Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regional office for Europe and North Atlantic, Nicolas Rallo, is in official visit to Montenegro on 26 and 27 September this year.
The Civil Aviation Agency (CAA), led by the Director Ivan Scekic, is host of this important visit, which is the first visit of such high-level head of the ICAO that is also confirmation of status of Montenegro in global and regional system in this area, as well as credibility of its aviation authority at international level.
It is planned that the leading person of the ICAO regional office has conversation with the Minister of Transport, Maja Vukicevic.
Two-day meetings are scheduled with representatives of the Montenegrin aviation authorities where it will be discussed about topics of importance for aviation development. The result of work of the Agency and the country, who is recognised as one of top countries in the region and Europe as regards application of international ICAO standards and recommended practices, will be presented.
The CAA organises also a conversation with head team of the most important aviation entities - Serbia And Montenegro Air Traffic Services Smatsa Llc, Airports of Montenegro and national airline To Montenegro, brand Air Montenegro.
On 13 March 2007 Montenegro became full pledged Member State of the ICAO, the specialised organisation of the United Nations in charge for constant oversight of conducting objectives and standards of the International Civil Aviation Conference.
