The Civil Aviation Agency implemented, with assistance provided by the experts from the civil aviation authorities of Slovenia and Croatia, workshop for sailplane operators at airfields Ćemovsko polje (LYPO) and Kapino polje (LYNK).

The workshop that took place in the period from 15 May 2024 to 17 May 2024 was participated by numerous members of “Naša krila”, “Špiro Mugoša”, “Nikšić” and “Berane”, as well as others sailplane lovers.

At the theoretical part of the workshop, participants were presented with characteristics of sailplane operations in Slovenia and Croatia, working methodology of declared training organisations for providing pilot training (DTOs), regulatory requirements and manners for their implementation, while in practical part they had the opportunity to witness performing of sailplane operation at airfield Ćemovske polje and touring motor glider operation at Kapino polje.

The Civil Aviation Agency will continue with improving safety culture through organising workshops and assistance to aero clubs so they could perform their activities safely.
