Meeting with Director General of EUROCONTROL

Director of the Civil Aviation Mr Dragan Đurović, had a meeting with Director General of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), Mr Frank Brenner, in Brussels on 16 July 2014, where they had discussion with their expert teams with the topic of intensifying of cooperation between the two aviation institutions in the area of joint work related to examining possibilities in night conditions and low visibility conditions at Tivat airport.
Members of the delegation of the Civil Aviation Agency were the deputy director, Mr Renato Brkanović, director of the Air Navigation Services Division, Mr Zoran Đuranović, and compliance monitoring manager, Mr Dragan Popović.

Representatives of EUROCONTROL were Director of the ATM, Mr Philippe Merlo, Head of Navigation and CNS Research Unit, Mrs Franca Pavličević, NM sector, Mr Dimitris Apsouris, Deputy Head of the Navigation and CNS Research Unit, Mr Rick Farnworth, and an expert from the consultancy company Davidson Ltd, Mr Yves Coutier.

The meeting represents continuation of cooperation between the Agency and EUROCONTROL in finding optimal solution for operations in low visibility conditions at Tivat airport, and the main motif is the wish of the Agency to intensify solving problems related to the operations at Tivat airport.

At the meeting, further steps regarding the joint approach to the forthcoming activities with purpose of solving current matter of introducing operations in night conditions and low visibility conditions at Tivat airport, have been agreed on.
