Summit in Krakow is important for closer European cooperation

Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Ivan Scekic, is representative of Montenegro at the Krakow Aviation Summit that takes place on 29 and 30 May 2025.

“This is a good opportunity for strengthening cooperation with aviation authorities at the European level, European Union institutions and international organisations, particularly during the meeting of obligations on the way to becoming full-fledged EU Member State. Another successful control mission

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) conducted a standardization inspection from February 24 to 28, 2025 in the areas of flight crew and cabin crew licensing and the issuance of medical certificates (FCL & MED). This is the first inspection under EASA requirements in the FCL and MED areas, which is significant for Montenegro, especially in the context of the EU accession process.

It can be stated that the inspection was successfully completed, considering the conclusions brought and the fact that the CAA staff and management were proactive in improving this domain in a short period. Aviation authorities: Cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia is showing results

The Directors of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro, Ivan Šćekić, and of the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia, Mirjana Čizmarov, met on February 18, 2025, to discuss the implemented and planned joint activities of the aviation authorities of both countries.

The key topic of the meeting in Belgrade was the implementation of the Agreement on Technical Cooperation in the field of joint oversight of air navigation services.

The Directors of the aviation institutions, together with their associates, considered the report on the implementation of the Agreement, analyzed the cooperation achieved and adopted a plan of joint supervisions and activities for the upcoming period.
