A Course from the Security Management System (SMS) was held in Podgorica from 5 to 8 July 2011.

Apart from the employees of the Civil Aviation Agency, the training was attended by employees of Montenegro Airlines and the Airports of Montenegro.

This course is organized by the project "Support to the transport sector", implemented by NTU, and financed from the European Commission funds through IPA funds.

Lecturer at the course was Aleksandar Pavlović, a graduated engineer of traffic. This course is fully recognized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

On June 24, 2011, a meeting was held in Paris with Director of the Civil Aviation Directorate of France, Mr. Patrick Gandill, and Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro, Mr. Dragan Đurović.

The meeting, held at the initiative of the French side, had the possibility of future co-operation between the civil aviation authorities of the two countries.

The meeting exchanged experiences in the field of civil aviation and agreed concrete steps to review the model of cooperation between the aviation authorities of France and Montenegro.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Montenegro in Paris Irena Radovic.

Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Dragan Djurovic, today signed a scholarship agreement with a student at the Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Pavlo Scepanovic from Podgorica.

The Agency will grant scholarship to Šćepanović, who will be specializing in the field of air navigation and aircraft maintenance during his education in Italy. After completing the studies, Scepanovic will establish a working relationship with the Civil Aviation Agency.

In this way, the Agency starts a concrete realization of one of its business priorities - scholarships for young people from Montenegro who will be educated for deficient civil aviation professions.
