Director of the Civil Aviation Mr Dragan Đurović, had a meeting with Director General of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), Mr Frank Brenner, in Brussels on 16 July 2014, where they had discussion with their expert teams with the topic of intensifying of cooperation between the two aviation institutions in the area of joint work related to examining possibilities in night conditions and low visibility conditions at Tivat airport.
Members of the delegation of the Civil Aviation Agency were the deputy director, Mr Renato Brkanović, director of the Air Navigation Services Division, Mr Zoran Đuranović, and compliance monitoring manager, Mr Dragan Popović.

Podgorica, (MINA) - the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Mr Dragan Đurović, has stated that the highest European standards are being implemented in Montenegro in this area, and main challenges to be met include human resources, strengthening of safety systems, and strict enforcement on international and national regulations.
On the occasion of the fifth anniversary from the establishment of the Agency, Mr Đurović stated that the civil aviation system ensures stable safety and security of air transport in Montenegro.

“For the first time in its history, since the first airplane flew over Obilića poljana in Cetinje, Montenegro has its civil aviation authorities, competent and respectable”, Mr Đurović said in the interview to MINA Agency.

The Civil Aviation Agency hereby informs interested entities, that in the following period, in accordance with the activity plan for this year and identified risks, it shall increase the frequency of paragliding inspection oversight.
In case of legal norms violation, the aviation safety inspectors shall sanction them pursuant to legal powers. For violations in this area, the amount of fine shall be between 300 and 2000 euros.

The Law on Air Transport and all bylaws from this field, shall ensure sufficient level of practising this activity, without violating safety level of aviation, other persons and property.

The Civil Aviation Agency shall be committed to environment protection and calls for practising paragliding activities in accordance with legal norms.
