In the period between 6 July and 10 July, the European Aviation Safety Agency conducted the ATM/ANS standardisation inspection, for the purpose of inspecting compliance with appropriate regulatory EU requirements in Montenegro.

The standardisation inspection was conducted within the premises of the Civil Aviation Agency, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 628/2013 on working methods of the EASA, having in mind that the Agency is the National Supervisory Authority (NSA) in Montenegro. The EASA standardisation inspection team also visited operational units of SMATSA llc, located at Tivat and Podgorica airports, due to the fact that SMATSA llc is the provider of ANS services in the airspace of Montenegro.

State Secretary for European Integration and Chief Negotiator, the Ambassador Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic had a meeting with Dragan Djurovic, the Director of Montenegro Civil Aviation Agency.
They exchanged opinions on achieved progress and further activities towards the complete compliance with EU regulations in the area of air transport.

The Director of Montenegro Civil Aviation Agency, Dragan Djurovic, informed the Ambassador Pejovic about the Agency’s work and achieved progress, emphasizing its importance for development of air transport safety and security in Montenegro.

The Ambassador Pejovic was satisfied with the progress achieved within the Chapter 14, particularly in the area of air transport.

Budva, 29 March 2015 – Prior the paragliding season, Montenegro Civil Aviation Agency organised Seminar on paragliding safety this weekend in Budva which was opened for all interested entities.

The seminar objectives were to help paraglider pilots improve their theoretical and practical knowledge, to introduce amendments of rules and regulations referring to paragliding in Montenegro, and thus, to improve safety of this attractive tourism activity.

Particular focus covered the application of practical knowledge in emergency procedures and assessment of equipment and paraglider, which were presented by paraglider flight instructors Ivica Knežević and Zoran Petrović.
