Information regarding Ebola virus disease (EVD)

After the publication of the statement of WHO – World Health Organization Director General, Dr Margaret Chan, that the Ebola outbreak in western Africa is a public health threat of international importance, the Civil Aviation Agency monitors the situation regarding Ebola outbreak in western Africa and its possible influence to air transport.
The Agency monitors news and information on daily level with assistance of EACCC – European Aviation Crisis Coordination Cell operated by EUROCONTROL NM, and with participation of WHO - World Health Organization, ICAO – International Civil Aviation Organization, IATA – International Air Transport Association, ACI – Airport Council International, EC... Meeting with Director General of EUROCONTROL

Director of the Civil Aviation Mr Dragan Đurović, had a meeting with Director General of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), Mr Frank Brenner, in Brussels on 16 July 2014, where they had discussion with their expert teams with the topic of intensifying of cooperation between the two aviation institutions in the area of joint work related to examining possibilities in night conditions and low visibility conditions at Tivat airport.
Members of the delegation of the Civil Aviation Agency were the deputy director, Mr Renato Brkanović, director of the Air Navigation Services Division, Mr Zoran Đuranović, and compliance monitoring manager, Mr Dragan Popović.

An interview with the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Mr Dragan Đurović, regarding the 5th anniversary from the establishment of the Agency

Podgorica, (MINA) - the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Mr Dragan Đurović, has stated that the highest European standards are being implemented in Montenegro in this area, and main challenges to be met include human resources, strengthening of safety systems, and strict enforcement on international and national regulations.
On the occasion of the fifth anniversary from the establishment of the Agency, Mr Đurović stated that the civil aviation system ensures stable safety and security of air transport in Montenegro.

“For the first time in its history, since the first airplane flew over Obilića poljana in Cetinje, Montenegro has its civil aviation authorities, competent and respectable”, Mr Đurović said in the interview to MINA Agency.
