Agreement with Police Administration in the area of suppressing illegal use of unmanned aircraft is signed

The Civil Aviation Agency and the Police Administration signed the Agreement in the area of suppressing illegal use of unmanned aircraft on 18 January 2019.

Signing this Agreement, that represents continuation of establishment of system defining use and protection from illegal use of unmanned aircraft in Montenegro, provides the possibility for joint activities between the Police Administration and the Agency, first of all in the field of oversight of operations and prevention of criminal acts or offences committed by illegal use of unmanned aircraft as well as identifying perpetrator of such acts.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The SSP/SMS training was held for the Agency employees

State Safety Programme & Safety Management System (SSP and SMS) training was held in Podgorica on 18 and 19 December 2018, it was organised by the Civil Aviation Agency in cooperation with the ICAO office in Paris.

Mr. Arkadii Merkulov, the ICAO representative and safety expert, was the lecturer.

During the training, the ICAO regulatory framework (Annex 19 and Doc 9859) regarding SSP and SMS was presented to the participants. Lectures combined with the practical examples from other countries shall be the additional benefit to participants regarding the refreshment of knowledge in this area, as well as regarding the improvement of work in activities  related to oversight and safety assessments of documents... Memorandum of Understanding Montenegro – Ireland

The Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro, Mr Dragan Djurovic, and the Director of the Irish Aviation Authority, Mr Peter Kearney, signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the competent civil aviation authorities of Montenegro and Ireland on 05 March 2018 in Madrid, at the margins of the World ATM Congress.

Ireland is one more EU Member State with which the Agency has signed the Memorandum of Understanding, defining the development and flexibility of use of documents and human resources in all aspects of the civil aviation. This form of cooperation shall also contribute strengthening the European progress of Montenegro in the area of air transport.
